What is Gal-entine’s you ask? It’s a holiday that celebrates your love for your girlfriends. And as Amy Poehler's character from the show Parks and Rec, says, "It's only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies.” Love this!

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s, Gal-entine’s or both. Here are some ways to make the ones you love feel special…

• Let them know “You’re totally my JaM!” And send your girlfriends a fun Galentine’s Day meme.

• Take 10 minutes to set the scene on V-day for your honey. It doesn't have to be a lot—a card, two chocolates and a couple of glasses of rich red Cab. Perfect!

• Make brunch—for your besties or your man! Brunch says I'm making my day all about you. Thankfully, we have the perfect “breakfast trio” for you to pair with your waffles… Butter, JaM and Toast! 

• Take a trip (Thelma & Louise, Bonnie & Clyde—but maybe without the police chase?) Check Airbnb and rent a house in the woods, take a daytrip or check out these other great ideas on Bustle. And what the heck—bring a bottle or two with you for when you arrive.
